Evangelist Irine Shepperson Burchett

1934 – 2021

Evangelist Irine Shepperson Burchett, 86, of Stanford, KY passed away at home on Friday, April 16, 2021. Born on June 10, 1934 in Liberty, KY to the late Howard and Sarah Hafley Shepperson. She was the widow to the late Harmon Burchett. Irine worked as a seamstress and farmer for most of her life. She was a member of Neals Creek Living Water Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Criswell (Jeff S.) of Crab Orchard, KY, Caron Criswell of Stanford, KY and Shawn Trent (Jeff L.) of Stanford, KY; a daughter-in-law, Joelle Belcher; one granddaughter, Brooke Goodin (Cody); two great-grandsons, Trenton Long and Maverick Goodin; a special niece, Roxanna Parks; and one nephew, Stanley Shepperson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon Burchett; parents, Howard and Sarah Shepperson; one son, Gene Russell Belcher; one brother, William Thomas Shepperson; and one sister, Elsie Elizabeth Shepperson.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 19, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY with Bro. David Hendrickson officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.

Active Pallbearers are Walter King, James Cunnagin, Chris Whitis, Brian Phillips, Caleb Sparks and Jeff Stevens.
