Reader concerned with problems in Jackson Park

I am writing this to address the problems in Jackson Park.

There are many people coming to the park and riding four-wheelers. They like to race them all around the park, and when they do this they tear up the grass.

Another problem with them riding them in the park is they do it during the day when people are out walking or playing disc golf. They could hurt themselves or someone else who is at the park. A little kid could easily run out in front of them and get hurt because they didn’t have enough time to swerve out of the way.

Another problem that occurs in Jackson Park is when people come in their cars and do donuts in the grass. This also tears up the grass and could hurt people in the process.

Police officers sometimes drive into the park and make sure everything is OK, but they need to come more frequently and at more random times. I think the people doing these things know when the police drive into the park, so they know when to come and do these things.

The people doing donuts in the grass always do it at night, so a solution would be to lock the gates at night and unlock them in the morning. They could have someone local lock the gates because police officers are busy and probably wouldn’t be able to come to the park every day to lock and unlock it for people.

I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read this. It means a lot to me that you read this.
