Man reportedly breaking into apartments flees police, is tased and arrested

On Monday morning at approximately 8 a.m., Danville Police responded to the area of Holladay Drive for a report of a male attempting to gain entry into apartments. Upon verbal contact with the male, he fled on foot. Multiple officers responded and pursued the male through various apartment complex properties, eventually locating him near Shaker Point Apartments.

The suspect failed to comply with officer commands and began to resist, leading to the deployment of a Taser. After being tased, the suspect was taken into custody, and officers located a loaded handgun on him. Due to a high level of various narcotics, the suspect was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and admitted for further treatment.
Conta Hill, 33, of Danville, was arrested and charged with attempted burglary, 1st; fleeing and evading on foot, 1st; disorderly conduct, 2nd; public intoxication, resisting arrest, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
