In 1963 St. Asaph Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution partnered with the Boyle County Fiscal Court and the Boyle County Historical Society to place a plaque on the Main Street side of the Boyle County Courthouse to memorialize the Revolutionary War Soldiers who are buried in Boyle County. Three names were discovered to have been omitted. The names of Robert Gray, Humphrey May, and Henry Sparrow have been added, and the plaque has been cleaned and returned to its place on the courthouse.

There will be a rededication of the plaque on Tuesday, June 29 at 3 p.m. Members of the St. Asaph Chapter DAR, the Boyle County Fiscal Court, and the Boyle County Genealogical and Historical Society will take part in honoring our country’s founding and those patriots who sacrificed their lives and fortunes for it. The public and descendants of the patriots are invited to attend.
