A resident of Mercer County, Beams has been caring for patients for over nine years. She began her career at EMJBHH as an Emergency Department Tech, then obtained a Licensed Practical Nursing degree and advanced yet again to a Bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse.

She was nominated for the award by a patient that said, “Rebecca is the best nurse I have ever had. She helped me when I had an accident and made me feel so much better and at ease. She went above the call of duty by helping to load me in my truck.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital and Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital.
