Visitation for Christine “Chris” L. Prochnow nee Tharpe of Bloomingdale, formerly of Chicago and Perryville, KY will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 10:30a.m until time of service 12:30p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile south of Irving Park Rd.) Roselle. Interment Memory Gardens.
Chris enjoyed gardening, flowers, trips to the Morton Arboretum and Cantigny Park, going out for dinner, her church and traveling to Kentucky.
She is the beloved wife of the late Tommy Williams, Wayne Runk and George Prochnow; loving mother of Sharon (the late Joseph, Sr.) Hernandez; proud grandmother of Joseph (Tammy) Hernandez, Jr.; adored great grandmother of Tayler, Sasha and Tanya; cherished daughter of the late Jesse and Nellie Tharpe nee Broughton; dear sister of Sylvia Tharpe, Duke Tharpe, Mildred (Jay Allen) Underwood and the late Jesse, Jr., Violet (the late Dean) Jepsen, Wilma Lucas and Everett Tharpe; aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.
Chris will also be reunited with her beloved dogs “Benny”, “Toby” and “Charlie”.
