During Tuesday’s Boyle County Fiscal Court meeting Magistrate Phil Sammons, incoming President of the Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo) presented a dividend check to Judge Howard P. Hunt III in the amount of $15,596.29. Boyle County is among 120 counties eligible for KACo dividend checks amounting to two million dollars.

Judge Hunt commented, “Throughout each year Boyle County employees receive ongoing education on health factors, safety measures, and other critical areas to assure the efficiency and protections needed in the work environment. This dividend check reflects a savings for our taxpayers, as well as the dedication of county employees to their health and wellbeing.”

“With our 30,000 citizens, it is especially gratifying to realize that our dividend check is disproportionately high when compared to other Kentucky counties of far greater size than our own.”
