“Witches’ brew” and “magic potions” were served up at the October meeting of the Garden Club of Danville, held in the garden of club member Elspeth Cobb. Cobb discussed herbal remedies, teas, and secret recipes, from soaps and lotions to eye-of-newt for casting spells. After touring the large flower garden, members and guests enjoyed herbal lemonade and platters of spooky sweet treats. So far as is known, no one turned into a toad that day.
