In recent weeks, the district has seen a decline in the number of active cases and quarantines among students and staff. That decline is in line with the number of cases in the county, bringing Boyle County out of the “red” on the Incidence Rate Map.

The most noteworthy change is making masks optional inside school buildings. It is strongly recommended that students, staff members and visitors continue to wear a mask, while indoors, to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Masks are still required on school buses, per a federal public transportation order.

The district will continue other mitigation efforts, such as social distancing (when possible), hand washing and cleaning and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
