Ms. Mitzi Elaine (Sheene) McKinney, age 60, of Danville, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. Mitzi was born in Danville, KY on April 23, 1961. She was an avid sketch artist and painter. She loved animals, especially horses and the many stray cats she cared for. She loved her grandchildren and always made their time together magical.
Among those who preceded her in death are, her mother, Priscilla N. Lockhart Burdette and her stepfather, Tom Burdette.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Brooke Gall Hamilton (Brian Storz), Alyssa Wolf (Jonas) and Keith McKinney, Jr. (Kara Miller); grandchildren, Rockwell Hamilton, Asha Hamilton, Ava Hamilton, Lola Hamilton, Silas McKinney, Zara Wolf and Eleanor Wolf; her father, Tommy Sheene; siblings, Michael Sheene, Mark Sheene, Monica Shuffett and Brandon Sheene (Kate) and a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the home of Mitzi’s daughter, Brooke at 201 Richmond Ave., Nicholasville, KY. Friends and family may pay their respects from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery (277 N. 1st St., Danville, KY).
