Hoormann

Kevin Gerard Hoormann, 60, died November 5, 2021. He was born February 23, 1961 in Wahoo, Nebraska, son of the late August Conrad “Judd” and Madlyn Loraine Burrows Hoormann. Kevin was a Master Plumber for 42 years, working for Davis and Plomin Mechanical. Kevin was a good man who loved his family. Spending time playing with his grandchildren, cheering them on in their many activities, and exposing them to the “oldies” gave him joy. Kevin always talked to strangers and made new friends everywhere he went. Sharing stories of the “good ole days” never ran short. Kevin loved music of a wide variety of genres. Taking rides on his MotoGuzzi motorcycle and snow skiing were also his passions. He loved vacationing in Siesta Key Florida snorkeling, sea shelling with grandchildren, and making the biggest splash possible in the pool.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years (43 years together), Karen Hoormann; two beautiful daughters, Sandra Davis, and Sharon (Robbie) Scanlon; his pride and joy, six grandchildren, Turner Davis, Savannah Davis, Weston Davis, Brooklyn Scanlon, Brantley Scanlon, and John Scanlon; Bruce (Peggy) Hoormann and seven other siblings; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his extended “family” in Kentucky, the “Chicago Gang”, and the “Florida Crew”.
A Celebration of Life will be 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Harveys (126 S 4th Street Danville, Kentucky 40422). Honorary pallbearers are Keith Sorensen, Jeff Albee, Alex Bremer, Joe Bremer, and John Hoormann. Memorial donations are suggested to the Music Education Fund at the Art Center of the Bluegrass.
