The heavy snowfall that hit Boyle County Thursday has continued late into Thursday evening as snow continues to accumulate.

Boyle County Judge-Executive Howard Hunt announced that the county courthouse will be closed Friday.

“The weather forecast shows another inch per hour through this evening. The road department will have a challenge getting the roads clear for the morning commute. Therefore, we are closing the courthouse for Friday,” Hunt announced Thursday.

Other closures include the offices of the Boyle County circuit and district courts and driver’s license, which closed at noon today and will remain closed on Friday, Jan. 7. The offices plan to reopen on Monday, Jan. 10.
