This week our featured pets are Yoshi, a sweet six-year-old Beagle mix, and Bowser, a handsome nine-month-old large breed mixed pup.

Yoshi came to us as a stray, so we know only what we have observed at the shelter. So far, this little nugget has been nothing but endearing. Yoshi is shy and calm, to the point of being timid, and his super-cute low to the ground trot is unhurried and relaxed. He uses his sniffer as any good Beagle would; however, no howling has come from his kennel!

Yoshi thought he’d snagged a new family last week, but the adoption fell through at the last minute. We’re sure that means the perfect quiet and loving home is still out there somewhere. Is it yours?

Bowser might be the exact opposite of Yoshi. This bundle of joy is exuberant and bouncy and silly – oh, my! He greets everyone with the same happy-go-lucky smile and unbridled curiosity and will hop up on his hind legs to give kisses, so be ready!

Bowser will make a great family pet for people who understand that he is a puppy. Puppies need to be housetrained and given clear expectations, so if you are willing to provide basic behavior training for this goofy pup, Bowser might be your match!

Around the world, cats are living outdoors-even in your own neighborhood! These cats are adapted to living outdoors and thrive in outdoor habitats. Though cats are resilient, providing a place to sleep, relax, warm-up, and stay safe can help make life outdoors more comfortable.
