While on routine patrol, a deputy with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2016 Kia passenger car for a traffic violation on US-127 Bypass in Danville. The vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed attempting to flee from the deputy.
The vehicle continued to flee north on US-127 into Mercer County disobeying several traffic laws. During the pursuit, the fleeing vehicle struck a deer, causing significant damage. The vehicle later became disabled in a cornfield on Cardwell Tablow Road in Washington County.
