Ralph Warren Landrum, recent of Middleburg Kentucky, passed away on Monday January 17, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville at the age of 70.
Warren, the eldest child of Ralph Avery and Joan Dolores Landrum, was born November 5, 1951 in Big Lake Texas.
He graduated in 1970 from Edison High School in Tulsa Oklahoma. Warren worked in many roles and positions, with his most recent being with the University of Kentucky in Lexington and finally with the Lexington Department of Transportation.
Warren enjoyed music, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family, especially, his friends from Oklahoma City, Lexington, and Middleburg. And he truly loved caring for his many pets and playing his guitar.
Since 2014 he had been in the care of Tara Kleffman-Vanoy and Eddie Vanoy, who have treated him as a member of their family. Tara’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kleffman (now deceased), were most welcoming of Warren into their family.
Warren is survived by his loving family: Mother Dolores (Hays) Landrum of Houston Texas, sister Frances Sulgrove (Michael) of Rockford Michigan, brother Mark Landrum of Port Aransas Texas, and an aunt and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and all his grandparents.
Warren’s final years were marred with many struggles, but we are left with many more memories of those happy days that we shared with him. He was a loving son and brother and will be greatly missed.
To those who may have known and thought of Warren as a friend, the family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, you might donate to your local animal shelter in his name. Please sign the online guestbook and send a Hugs from home at www.stithcares.com.
