Lora Joyce Westerfield, 93, of Junction City, passed away February 3, 2022 at her home. She was born February 12, 1928 in Newport, Kentucky to the late Louis and Allie Stringer Lay Ezell. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Ben William Westerfield.

She was a homemaker and a devoted member of Junction City First Baptist Church.When she was younger, she loved helping fix meals for the church family, her family or anyone who stopped by for a visit. You never visited at her house that she didn’t offer you a meal or something to eat. Joyce was an avid bowler in her younger years, loved playing cards with her group of friends, but most of all, adored her nieces, nephews and family. She took an interest in each of their lives and loved them to the fullest..

Surviving are nephews and nieces, Eric Satterly (Susie) of San Diego, Rick Lay (Terolyn) of Florida, Barbara Satterly of Danville, Lora Jean Satterly of Davistown, Audie Satterly (Kim) of Junction City, Debbie Joyce Zaal (Bill) of Texas and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded In death by a sister, Mary Cialone Satterly, brothers, Howard Melvin Lay, Louis Lay & Alan Hanceford Lay. a nephew, Melvin Satterly, and a great nephew, Todd Satterly.

Funeral services will be 2pm Friday, February 11, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. Choe Sergent and Pastor Jonathan Grizzell officiating. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm Friday.

Pallbearers will be Cleo Winchester, Chris Winchester, Ben Satterly, Jeremiah Satterly, Micah Satterly, Tyler Winchester, Zachariah Satterly, and Jason Satterly.

Honorary pallbearers will be Katrina Satterly Alexander, Karrah Satterly, Kadence Satterly. Alexis Winchester, Scott Tuggle, Patrick Ryan, Jacob Bush, Katlynn Winchester and Kandice Caudill.
