Louise Mae Thompson, 87, of Harrodsburg, passed away February 8, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 13, 1934 in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Clay and Margie Cornish. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, James Ira Thompson.
Louise had a great passion for antique dealing, and going to yard sales and flea markets. She loved birds and provided seeds and other food right outside her glass door where she could watch. Louise loved her family very much and no one has ever heard her say a harsh word to anyone.  She loved cooking and was a wonderful cook.  She also loved Harrodsburg Baptist Church and country Gospel music especially Allen Jackson and also Elvis Presley  Gospel songs. Her family and all who knew her were blessed by her life and legacy. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving is a son, Mickie Thompson of Harrodsburg, three daughters, Judy Rue (Sonny) of Danville, Vickie McGinnis (Richie) of Harrodsburg, and Patsy Fowler of Harrodsburg; siblings, Stevie Cornish and Mary Lee Holbert, both of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Buddy Rue (Shelley) of Richmond, Tami Conner (Shane) of Richmond, Mary Wilson (Brandon) of Danville, Kristal Irvin (Michael) of Harrodsburg, Marlin McGinnis of Harrodsburg, Jonathan Fowler (Stacey) of Harrodsburg and Ashley Fowler of Harrodsburg; and ten great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings, Marcus Cornish, Davis Cornish, Earl B. Cornish, Jimmy Ray Cornish and Bonnie Mae Cornish.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 am Friday, February 11, 2022 at Celebration Church in Danville with Pastor Brandon Wilson officiating. www.preston-pruitt.com
