Happy Valentine’s Day from two sweet puppers: Sarah and Bella. These single gals are looking for a permanent situation where they can cuddle the night away in the arms of someone special. Bella and Sarah came from an unfortunate situation where they spent lots of time locked in a crate together. They both have sweet dispositions in spite of it!

Sarah is a one-and-a-half-year-old mixed-breed dog with a Beagle-ish voice and a huge hound heart. Her ears perk up at the slightest sound and she has wiry whiskers that give her an inquisitive look. Sarah loves being loved on and will shower you with kisses upon first meeting, even crawling into your lap if you let her!

Bella is shy and reserved compared to Sarah, but don’t underestimate her! The moment you look into this two-year-old’s kind eyes you will be mesmerized. Bella is trusting, loving, and silly, and although she doesn’t quite know ‘sit’ yet, she is willing to try and learn it for a treat!

When Bella was office dog for the afternoon she spent most of her time sniffing and peeking out the window. Now and then she’d come over to get petted and give kisses, but she really enjoyed exploring.

Both dogs came from a situation that was less than perfect, but we know their perfect ending is coming soon! Did you know? Danville-Boyle County Humane Society (DBCHS) & Boyle County Animal Control are separate organizations that work closely together. We share a building and phone number, resources, and a concern for the animals – and people! – in our community.

Boyle County Animal Control is the government agency responsible for reuniting lost pets with their owners and enforcing laws pertaining to domestic animals in Boyle County. We encourage you to contact them if you find a stray pet, lost your pet, suspect neglect or abuse, or have an encounter with an aggressive cat or dog.
Stray animals are held for a minimum of five (5) days before they can be transferred to Danville-Boyle County Humane Society for adoption or rescue placement.
