Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Bluegrass introduced a familiar face to many, Casey Atwood, on Jan. 4. Atwood will be program development coordinator and will be based in the Boyle/Mercer office. She can be reached at casey@casaofthebluegrass.org

Casey Atwood is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where she holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice. Prior to this position, Atwood volunteered for CASA of the Bluegrass.

“I am an open book,” she said. “I like unique and interesting things and love to explore what’s beyond the surface. I think that becoming an employee of CASA allows me to have purpose, personify the mission, and grow my interaction with the community. I feel like I belong.”

In her free time, Casey enjoys spending time with her husband Braden and 4-month old son Benson. She dotes on the fact that she can name all of the U.S. Presidents in order, loves animals and enjoys professional wrestling.
