Our pets of the week are Lucky and Polly, two deserving dogs ready to find their new homes.

Lucky is a one-year-old mixed-breed dog with a gorgeous coat of fur. This handsome guy is upbeat and friendly, ready to meet anyone at any time! Lucky is super intelligent: you can tell he is eager to learn and easily trainable.

His previous owner says Lucky is good with kids and is a “loving dog that needs more attention than what we can give.” We know he loves treats. He *almost* learned to sit and lay down in a few minutes of training. What a good boy! St. Patty’s Day is around the corner. Are you feeling Lucky?

Polly is the opposite of Lucky, reserved and shy but very sweet. She came to us after running loose for a while and is learning how to adjust to shelter life. Pretty Polly is reluctant to greet you at first, but if you are quiet and calm, she will let you pet her beautiful coat and give her a scratch behind her soft ears. When she was office dog for the afternoon, Polly laid quietly in the bed for a bit before slowly exploring every corner of the room.

Polly is estimated to be two or three years old and has a long life ahead of her once she’s found a patient and low-key person.
