Harold F. Martin, 78 of Crab Orchard, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. He was born October 20, 1943 in Crab Orchard to the late Charles M. and Adah Mae (Elder) Martin. He was a retired bookkeeper and salesman for the Coca Cola company after 28 years of service. Harold was an United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War having received two bronze stars. He was an honorable Kentucky Colonel and a member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church. Harold was a loving and protective brother to his sister, Kathy who put her needs before his very own. He loved and cared for all of his nieces and nephews. His great love of sports lead him on many adventures in his lifetime and was able to meet and make many lifelong friendships that he deeply treasured.
Survivors Include his Sister, Kathy E. Martin; Sister-In-Law, Debbie Martin; Niece, Lyndsey & Husband, Aaron Carpenter; Nephew, Matthew Martin & Wife, Aleshea; 7 Great Nieces & Nephews: Jacob, Ava & Taylor Carpenter, Emerson, Reese, Sloan & Sawyer Martin.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a Brother, Jerry Martin.
Pallbearers Include: Jay & Lance Shelton, Matthew Martin, Eddie Simpson, Terry Oaks, Aaron & Jacob Carpenter.
Honorable Pallbearers: Dr. Donald Hamner, Dr. Russell Crawford, Coach Bobby Knight, Willie Hoskins, Jr., Lonnie Pruitt, M.A. Stewart & Larry Owsley
Funeral Services to be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Watts Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery with military honors by the Caswell Saufley American Legion Post #18 of Stanford.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6th at the Watts Chapel Baptist Church and after 11am on Thursday.
