Tomorrow is primary election day; newspaper to post hourly election results

Tuesday is primary election day. The Advocate-Messenger will be posting hourly updates on election results tomorrow evening at amnews.com. Final election results will be published online the next day, and in the next print edition.

Any qualified, registered voter may vote at any of the locations regardless of where they reside. Voting locations in the county are as follows:

• Perryville Baptist Church annex at 204 E. 2nd Street, Perryville

• Parksville Baptist Church gym at 6610 Alum Springs Road, Parksville

• Junction City Baptist Church at 3860 U.S. 127 South, Junction City

• Boyle County Fire Department, Station 1 at 1500 Lebanon Road, Danville

• First Christian Church gym at 555 E. Lexington Ave, Danville

• National Guard Armory at 482 Stanford Ave, Danville

The polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.

Voters must bring one of the following forms of identification, or else will not be allowed to vote:

• Driver’s License

• Social Security card

• Credit card

• Any Kentucky state government-issued ID card with name and photo

• Any U.S. government-issued ID card with name and photo

• Any ID card issued by the U.S. Department of Defense with name and photo

• Personal acquaintance with an election officer

The Boyle County primary ballot will include the following names and offices:

• United States Senator, 1st Congressional District, Republican: Arnold Blankenship, Valery Fredrick, Paul Hamilton, Rand Paul, John Schiess, Tami Stainfield

• United States Senator, 1st Congressional District, Democrat: Joshua Wesley Blanton Sr., Charles Booker, Ruth Gao, John Merrill

• District Judge for the 50th Judicial District, nonpartisan: Stacy Elizabeth Coontz, Christopher Reed, Patrick F. Barsotti

• Danville Mayor, nonpartisan: James “J H” Atkins, James Morris Hunn, Denise Terry

• Danville City Commissioners, nonpartisan: Kevin Caudill, Shawn Moore, Steve Southerland, Rick Serres, Jennie Hollon, Col. Joe Lamkin, Robert Earl Robinson, Donna Peek, Charles Singleton

• Boyle County Magistrate District 1: Jeff Reardon (Democrat); Terry Hogue (Democrat)

• Boyle County Magistrate District 2: Ronald Short (Republican); Paula Bodner (Republican)
