Norma Jean King, 90

Norma Jean King, 90, of Garrard County, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022 at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Ray King. Norma was born on February 10, 1932 in Rockcastle County, to the late Arthur and Opal Kidwell Pingleton.
She was a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, Stephen Thomas King of Lexington, KY; two daughters, Teresa King Thomas (Robert) of Lancaster and Kathy King Grubbs also of Lancaster; Grandchildren: Joel, Nicholas (deceased), Micah, Valerie, Kirstie, Candace, Zachary, Molly, Seth (deceased); eleven great grandchildren, and siblings, Wayne Pingleton (Sue) of Indiana, Alice Ray of Lancaster, Lois Duncan (Roger) of Lancaster, and Debbie Sparks (Fred) of Stanford.
Along with her husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Nicholas Murphy and Seth King and siblings, Gladys Dailey, Robert “Bob” Pingleton, and Freda Palmer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Browning officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Daniel Martin, Jim Sanford, Brandon Burnside, Joel Murphy, Micah Daly, Shane Lopez, Candace Rutledge, Valarie Wesley, Alexis Wesley, Kirstie Arnold, and Randy Carrier.
