Our featured pets this week are Brady and LuLu, two mixed-breed pups looking for their forever homes. 

Brady is the sweetest boy! This one-year-old has a pretty russet coat, a dark muzzle, and beautifully expressive eyes. Brady is shy and unsure when you first meet him, and he shows it by submissively crawling on his belly to approach. Once he’s determined that you are not a threat, though, he warms up quickly.

Brady just wants to love and be loved, and he will camp out at your feet, looking up at you to get petted. And you will want to pet him once you’ve gazed into those big brown eyes! Brady is looking for that patient person to bring him out of his shell; could it be you?

Lulu is a lover, too, and at six years old, more confident than Brady. Don’t be mistaken, though; for a mature girl, she’s a lively pup with plenty of energy! In fact, Lulu has enjoyed playtime with other dogs and gets along with all of them.

When she’s in the play yard with her friends, she keeps one eye on the parking lot and is excited to greet newcomers as they enter the property. Lulu wants nothing more than to say hello with her giant, infectious smile! Lulu will make an excellent companion for any family or person. Come meet her today!

Like Brady and Lulu, most dogs in shelters are a unique combination of two or more breed types, affectionately known as mutts. Even though some dogs may look like a particular breed, visual identification is usually inaccurate.

Maddie’s® Shelter Medicine Program at the University of Florida surveyed 5,000+ veterinarians, breeders, trainers, shelter staff, and other professionals who identified dog breeds from photographs.
