Emmy Glo Davis Purdom, 90, died July 6, 2022. She was born August 9, 1931, in Lexington to the late Howard and Johnnie Davis. Emmy Glo graduated from Lafayette High School and went on to obtain a master’s degree in education from the University of Kentucky and later attended Duke University. She attended Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, E.R. “Buddy” Purdom; son, Mark Davis Purdom; and two sisters, Dixie Purdom of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Marilyn (Howard) Talley of St. Peters, Missouri.
