Candidates have been named for Boyle County Coroner for the November general election after Mike Wilder passed away in June.

Wilder had been the only candidate running for the office as a Democrat. Boyle County Clerk Trille Bottom explained that both the local Democratic and Republican parties could submit a candidate’s name to the Secretary of State, and the candidates could file to be on the ballot.

Dr. Eric Scott Guerrant is the Republican candidate. Guerrant is an Emergency Medicine Physician and a native of Boyle County. He has served in the Emergency room of Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and other Boyle County emergency services.

Malcom Miller was nominated as the Democratic candidate. Miller lives in Danville and has worked at Stith Funeral Home and Mediport, LLC.
