The Economic Development Partnership Board of Directors recently approved hiring Terry Crowley as interim executive director. Crowley grew up in Boyle County and graduated from Danville High School and the University of Kentucky. He and his wife Jean have three children and four grandchildren.

Crowley ended 28 years of employment with Sellers Engineering in 2009 and completed his career in the steam industry with Spirax Sarco in 2021. During that time he also served the community in many ways, most notably serving five years on the Danville Independent Schools Board of Education in the 1990s, and as an elected member of the City of Danville Board of Commissioners for four terms from 2003 to 2011. He is a 33-year volunteer with the Great American Brass Band Festival and has been involved in various capacities of workforce development through local committees and the Bluegrass Area Development District.

“We are elated to have someone with Terry’s volunteer and career experience,” said EDP Chairman Alan Turbyfill. “We appreciate his willingness to serve on an interim basis as we continue with organizational changes before hiring our next permanent executive director.”

The Economic Development Partnership Board has also approved filling a new Workforce Development Specialist position. This individual will work alongside the current Workforce Development Committee to provide services to local businesses, educational institutions and other community organizations to support the health of the local labor force.
