Gloria Robinson Candler, 88, of Lancaster, passed away August 31, 2022 at The Willows in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. She was born on July 14, 1934 in Paint Lick, Kentucky to the late Lewis and Hazel Smith Robinson. She is preceded in death by her only child, Patricia Smith. Her brother and sister in law Eddie and Helen Robinson of Lexington, KY. Survived by two granddaughters, Shannon Smith Dunn (Casey) of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Kimberly Smith Dunn (Brad) of Union, Kentucky; a son-in-law, Ricky Smith (Jennifer) of Union, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Canaan, Sarai, Judah, Noah, Warik, Jalin and Madison. Nephews, Kirk Robinson (Sherry) of Lexington,Kentucky, Gregg (Ginny) Robinson of Versailles, Kentucky, and Doug Robinson (Kelly) of Walton, Kentucky. Great nephews and neice Caleb, Blake and Morgan. Gloria owned The Silver Curl beauty shop for 36years, where she retired when she was 80. She was a faithful member and deacon of Lancaster Christian Church for 57 years, where she loved to play the organ every Sunday. She had a great passion for God and for people and thoroughly enjoyed traveling with the quartet, The Gospel Messengers. Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Lancaster Christian Church. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30am-12pm.
