A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Grover D. Johns, 84, will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday September 18, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Waring Porter officiating.

A family and friends gathering for Grover will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:25 PM at First Presbyterian Church.

Grover died Sunday, September 11, 2022 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1938. He was a US Navy Veteran; having worked as Director of Engineering for milk processing plant and also was Director of Engineer at Huntington Beach Hospital in Huntingtin Beach, CA. He returned to Kentucky where he was owner of Johns Jewelry in West Liberty, KY. June 2002 he and his wife moved to Corinth, MS.He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed playing pool and telling his many stories.

He was preceded in death by his sons, William Paul Johns, Steven Jacob Johns; parents, Thomas A. Johns and Stella Owens Johns; brothers, Thomas Johns, Lowell Johns, Donald Johns, sister, Ella Manning.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Ida Poe Johns; daughter, Diane Johns; brothers, Bobby Johns, Tony Johns; sisters, Lucille Durham, Mary Brogan; grandchildren, Thomas Johns, James Johns, Bryan Johns, Jacob Godich, Joshua Godich, Tiffany Lynn Hamilton; and four great grandchildren.
