Linda Joe Spears Hundley, 78, of Danville, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born in Danville to the late Garvel and Marie Vaught Spears. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Hundley. Linda graduated from Danville High School and retired from the Kentucky School for the Deaf, as a switch board operator. She dearly loved her only daughter and granddaughters. Surviving is a daughter, Lee Anne Hamm (Wendell) of Frankfort; two granddaughters, Taylor McKenzie Hamm and Kelsey Morgan Hamm, both of Frankfort; one nephew, Mark Tanner (Leeanne), great niece, Molly Tanner, great nephew, JD Tanner (Catherine), all of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are special friends, Gladys Faulkner, Roberta “Bertie” Riggs, Paula Gibson, Roberta Lynn and Doris Garrison. Linda is also preceded in death by a sister and brother in law, Freddie Anne and Jim Tanner.
Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville. Visitation will be from 1pm-2pm Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Bennie Gilbert, Laddie Garrison, Tommy Hundley, Mark Tanner, JD Tanner, and Gary Gorley. Honorary pallbearer will be Burnam Lanham.
