Our pets of the week are Quinn, who’s new to the adoption floor, and Patches, who has been with us for a few months. They share the same wish: to be home for the holidays.

Quinn is a black and white mixed breed dog estimated at three years old. She is exuberantly affectionate; you can tell she wants to leap into your arms upon first sight!

However, Quinn holds back from jumping on you no matter how excited she gets. Instead, she crouches down to show she’s friendly, scootching toward you with a giant smile and furiously wagging her tail. Once she’s reached you, Quinn immediately rolls over to solicit belly rubs.

That’s because Quinn believes that you should love on her all the time. Whether it’s a scratch behind her soft ears, a head massage, a full-body pet, or all of the above, Quinn is into it. If you’re looking for a friendly and adoring pup, look no further, Quinn is the gal for you!

Patches is a young, handsome boy with brindle markings and an infectious smile, and at just under a year old, he is still a puppy.

When you first meet Patches, he is cautious. He keeps his head lowered and gives you a sniff to decide his next move. If you’re calm, you’ll be treated with a tail wag as he approaches to get petted. Then he leans into you and might even show his belly for a quick scratch!

Do not be fooled, however: Patches has plenty of energy and affection to spare! He’s called a “rockstar” in playgroups because he can adapt his playstyle to any situation. Sometimes he’s rowdy, tumbling with his friends; sometimes, he likes to run and chase. Once he’s worn out, he chills with the volunteers.
