Free expungement clinic to happen in Danville Thursday

A free Expungement Clinic is being held in Danville on Thursday, January 12, from 5 to 8 PM, at Danville Church of God, 516 South 4th Street.

A host of community partners and sponsors are offering education regarding the Kentucky process of expungement of criminal records. Attorneys will be on site at the event to consult with individuals needing more information about eligibility for expungement.

Representatives will be present to share local information regarding employment, training, and educational opportunities, and substance use and mental health treatment and recovery resources.

In addition, the Justice Bus of Legal Aid of the Bluegrass will be located in the parking lot, to assist attendees with questions related to housing assistance, public and government benefits, veterans’ questions, and domestic violence protective orders.

Free Narcan and training in its use will be available for those who want to save the lives of people who have overdosed on opioids.  Free dinner is available for attendees.

Primary sponsors are the Danville Boyle County Development Corporation’s Workforce Development Committee, and Boyle County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy.
