Mark Anthony Hurt, 64, of Danville passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Born in Danville on September 5, 1958, he was the son of Myrtle Turpin Hurt of Junction City and the late James Madison Hurt Sr. Mark was a member and elder of Pleasant Grove Christian Church where he had also served as treasurer. He was an avid UK fan due to his wife’s obsession. Mark was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He also enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his dogs. Mark is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lecia Edwards Hurt; daughters, Beth Keeley of Frankfort, and Holly (Chase) Ely of Lexington; brothers, James (Gail) Hurt of Junction City and Glenn (Pat) Hurt of Lincoln County; sister, Evelyn Grigsby of Danville; and 3 grandchildren: Anthony Keeley (Haley Riggs), Lucy Keith, and Camilla Ely. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Vest. Visitation is 5-8 pm, Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday at 12:00 PM with Pastor Fred Willett officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers Adam Grigsby, Alex Grigsby, Jordan Grigsby, Anthony Keeley, Chase Ely, Joseph Hurt and Gary Raney.
