Kent Stuart Wilson, 51, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at UK Hospital. Born April 29, 1971 in Danville, Kentucky, he was the son of Stuart and Kathy Wilson and the late Cheryl Thompson Wilson. After Kent graduated from Mercer County High School, he went on to study at the University of Kentucky. Kent was the head cook at Backstretch Bar and Grill in Lexington, Kentucky. He was an excellent diver and cook. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, and spending time with his daughter, Iris. Kent was predeceased by his mother Cheryl Thompson Wilson. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Iris Wilson, of Richmond; brothers, Travis (Kristen) Hungate, Cliff Wilson, and Johnny Wilson; sisters, Kristi Sigola and Kari Wilson; nieces, Gracie McCoy, Zoe Sigola, Mia Sigola, and Elise Lamb; and nephews, Alex McCoy and Gavin Wilson. Visitation is 10:30-12:30 Wednesday, February 8, at Salt River Baptist Church with funeral services at 12:30 PM with Chris Brummett and Bro. Dave Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Davis, Louis Hager, Ashley Kiser, Johnny Wilson, Alex McCoy, and Mark Arnold.
