Lillian Rose Rogers (nee-Balogh) 86 years old, of Louisville, KY passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born July 18, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Louis and Mary Balogh. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Nick Tokach, Paul Tokach, Mary Conn, and Ann Carmody.
Lil leaves behind her loving husband of 68 years, Kenneth Rogers as well as her five daughters, Rose(Paul)Johnson, Karen Rogers, Sharon (Lawrence) Rogers-Hinkle, Michele (Jeff) Guess, and Kendra (Greg) Purvis. In addition 12 grandchildren, Tina (Sean) Norrad, Sean (Shari) Record, JB (Danielle) Hinkle, Charles Hunt, Austin (Glenda) Brummett, Erin Johnson, Nick Johnson, Brooke Guess, Natalie Yates, KC (Claire) Purvis, Bailey Guess, and Luke Purvis. She also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Lil was a loving devoted mother and wife. She dedicated 25 years of service to Centre College in Danville, KY.
Lillian and her husband Ken were instrumental in the founding of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Danville, KY.
Lil’s Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 8305 Nottingham Parkway, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service at 1:00 p.m.
Officiating will be Pastor Joshua Cook.
