There will be an informational meeting at 5:20 p.m. Thursday at the Boyle County Library for those interested in joining to find out more information.

“Danville’s Lions club closed several years ago,” David Moose said. “ We have been making several trips to Danville to help start a new club to serve the community. Our motto is simply, we serve. We are the world’s largest service organization. We focus on vision care, reduction of hunger, reducing child cancer, diabetes, and disaster relief. Danville is a good community but it has needs. A good Danville Lions Club can help meet those needs.”

The Lions of Kentucky are known for their free summer camp offerings for children who are deaf, blind, in foster care, or being raised by their grandparents.

“We hope to see a strong vibrant club to compliment the other organizations there are in Danville,” David Moose said.
