The formation of a new Lions Club to serve the needs of Danville and beyond has begun. Anyone 18 and older who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and make new friends along the way, a follow-up informational meeting is set for Tuesday. It will be from 5:20 to 6 p.m. in the downstairs conference room of the Boyle County Library at 307 W. Broadway.

Even if you don’t plan to join, or are just still considering joining, you are encouraged to attend and suggest service projects that will make Danville a better community.

College students are included in this opportunity, and as students, they receive several special benefits from being in a new Danville Lions Club. Also, multiple family members get a discount on their dues.
