On Friday, a retirement party was held for Community Trust Bank market president David Maynard. Maynard has been a long time advocate for those with special needs and to celebrate his retirement, Community Trust Bank presented a donation to the Special Persons Advocacy Network
“We are proud of Dave and what all he has done in this community,” said Regional President Billie Dollins. “I grew up here and know the importance of giving back. He is a servant leader. He has been a great representative for our company. We want to wish him the very best. We are presenting a check to SPAN because we wanted to do something meaningful to him.”
His will be missed by the banks staff.
“He has had such an impact,” said Marketing Coordinator Rhonda Gilliam. “He has been involved with so many organizations, volunteered, and given back so much. We will miss that but he will still live here and be part of the community.”
Maynard has appreciated the kind words from his staff.
“I have had a wonderful career, it is not the job it is the people that you bring into your life, I will miss everybody,” Maynard said. “I appreciate the hard work that all you have done and I hope you can continue it. I absolutely love the retirement gift and that my folks appreciate me”
After his retirement, Maynard will continue to serve on the bank’s board of directors.
