Summer concert series resumes tonight

The Arts Commission summer concert series “Art in YOUR Neighborhood” opened its second season this year, bringing a variety of music and styles to neighborhoods around Boyle County. All concerts are free and open to the public.
Keith Williams will liven up the lawn at Stith Funeral Home, 506 W. Shelby Street in Junction City on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Parking is available in the Stith lot.
Marcus Wilkerson will return to Danville on Aug. 15 in the Burckley neighborhood at 6 p.m. Wilkerson was as an artist in residence at Bate Middle School and the Kentucky School for the Deaf, and performed at Hogsett last year.
Raison D’ Etra will bring their unique style of traditional music, swing, and Shaker hymns to the Latimer Heights neighborhood on Aug. 22 at 6 p.m.
Tim Lake will close the season in Perryville on Sept. 5 at 6:30 p.m. on the Riverwalk behind Merchant’s Row. Lake is a composer, singer-songwriter, instrumentalist.
Bring a chair, relax, enjoy exceptional music, and meet new friends in neighborhoods around Boyle County. Hot dogs will be on the grill. The series is sponsored by Walmart, the Stith family, Weld Quip, the Housing Authority of Danville, the Danville City Commission, the Boyle County Fiscal Court and the Kentucky Arts Council.
