James Paul Murray, age 79, husband of Robin (Cinnamon) Murray, died August 1, 2024 at home. Born May 24, 1945 in Lexington and raised in Beattyville, he was the son of the late Roderick Lafayette and Mattie (Pendergrass) Murray. James Paul was a retired Regional Sales Director for Bankers Fidelity Insurance Company.

Survivors: wife, Robin (Cinnamon) Murray , one daughter: Julie Murray and one son Shannon (Shannon) Murray of Harrodsburg; a brother: Dr. Roderick Lafayette (Jennie) Murray II of Nashville; seven grandchildren: Paul Blake Murray, Tyler Murray, Kaleb Murray, Hailey Murray, Mykayla Steele, Kyleigh Curtsinger and Karmen Murray; four Great Grandchild: Atlas Curtsinger, Aria Curtsinger, Miley Steele and Macey Steele. He was also partial to his niece: Chelsea Coy, and nephews: Taylor and Lafe Murray. He was preceded in death by two sons: James Paul Murray Jr. and Jonathan Lee Murray.

The funeral will be 12pm on Tuesday, August 6 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Burial will follow Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday; August 5, 2024 from 5-9pm, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
