Boyle County graduates Keenan Stewart and Coleman Stewart finished 41st to lead local anglers competing in the Bassmaster High School National Championship last week on Chickamauga Lake in Tennessee.
The Stewart brothers finished their two days of fishing Friday with six fish totaling 17 pounds, 4 ounces to finish in the top 15 percent of the field of 272 boats. They were in 29th place after the first day of the tournament.
It was the third appearance in the national tournament for the pair, who also finished fifth in the KHSAA boys state championship this spring.

Claunch and the Stewart brothers will fish competitively at Campbellsville University next season; Grubbs and Wise remain at Boyle.
