• In terms of toughness, using their opponents’ combined win total last season, the Minutemen will be playing the 33rd-ranked schedule this year.
• UMass is facing the 46th-ranked schedule this season (based on its opponents’ projected win total this year).
• UMass’ schedule includes seven games against teams that finished over .500 in 2023 (five against teams with nine or more victories and two against squads that had three or fewer wins).

• With 427 yards allowed per game on defense, which ranked 17th-worst in FBS, the Minutemen were forced to lean on their 88th-ranked offense (356.3 yards per contest) to keep them in games last season.
• With 37.8 points allowed per game on defense, which ranked worst in FBS last season, UMass had to rely on its 96th-ranked offense (23.2 points per contest) to keep it in games.
