Marshall Hart and Roxy Bogardus of Mercer County were the top local finishers Saturday in the DCA Battlefield Blitz cross country invitational at Perryville.

Hart finished fourth in the 3.1-mile boys race with a time of 18:10 and Bogardus was 10th in the girls race with a time of 23:40 over the same distance on the Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site Course.

Adam Cooper (19:43) of Boyle County and Jonas Bellamy (19:55) of the LIGHT Homeschool Group also earned top-10 finishes in the boys race, finishing ninth and 10th, respectively.

Other area top 20 finishers in the boys race were Banks Bratcher (13th, 20:14) of Danville, Mason Sanders (17th, 20:33) of Mercer and Lake Adkins (18th, 20:37) of host Danville Christian.

Other area top 20 finishers in the girls race were Addison Hill (12th, 24:59) of DCA and Aubrey White (18th, 25:43) of Boyle.

The Mercer boys and Boyle girls finished third in their respective team standings, leading area teams.
