Earl Bradley Montgomery Sr., age 88, of Union, Ohio passed away on October 17, 2024. Earl was born in Mitchellsburg, Kentucky on June 3, 1936 to the late Robert Montgomery and Eva (Vaught) Montgomery . Earl had started working at five years of age helping his Father on the farm during the Great Depression Era. He had learned at a very young age the importance of working in order to provide for his family. Earl had managed to reach 6th grade at Parksville School before he was forced to help his family on a full time basis. Earl married the love of his life, Georgia Morrett, at age 18 years old. He had worked hard labored jobs until they left Kentucky to reside in Ohio. He had dedicated his life taking care of his family and working hard for the majority of his life. Earl had worked at Stillwater Sanitarium and Ohio State Highway Patrol Post #57. He retired from Ohio State Highway Patrol Post # 57 after 31 years and 8 days as Chief Custodian Technician. Earl was considered #1 maintenance man in the entire state of Ohio. Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia after 67 years of dedicated marriage. Brothers: William F. Montgomery, Robert Ray Montgomery, James G. Montgomery, and Chester Montgomery. Sister: Edith Grace (Montgomery) Chester. Niece: Debbie (Montgomery) Hammer. Nephew: Richard Owens. Earl is survived by his daughter, Ada A. Wyatt (Roger), daughter, Barbara S. Smith (Jeff Percifield), son, Earl B. Montgomery Jr, and daughter, Tammy L. Breeze (Brett). Grandchildren: Elizabeth Robertson (Scott), Melinda Chandler, Roger Wyatt Jr, Michael C. Peterson (Christen), Christina A. Peterson, Anthony Slack (Abby), and Cyan Breeze. Great Grandchildren: Tiffany Kiszkiel(Chris), Brittany Mosser (Jared), Ashley Williams (Billy), Paul Chandler, Mathieux Wyatt, Elijah Wyatt, Devon Wyatt, Astrid Wyatt, Caleb Peterson, Chloe Peterson, Benjamin Peterson, and Malcolm Peterson. Great Great Grandchildren: Bryce Williams, Billy Williams Jr., Liam Mosser, Adin Moser, Bella Williams, and Raylan Kiszkiel. Extended families: Nephews: Johnny Montgomery (Elizabeth), Henry Montgomery (Aggie), and Bryan Montgomery. Nieces: Angela Waldridge (Ronnie), Rebecca Waggoner (Rob), Evelyn (Owen) Trimmer, Mary J. Swegman, and Linda Barham (Thomas). Great nieces and Great Nephews. Services were held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Montgomery officiating. Burial followed at Parksville Cemetery. Visitation was from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
