Winston Evans Pike, Sr., of White Lake, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 88 years of age. Loving father of Winston (Teresa) Pike, Jr., Bradley (Teri) Pike, Alan (Kyla) Pike and Angel (Matthew) Herdus and Barbara (Dr. J. Byron, II) Wilfong. Proud grandfather of Joshua (Jamie) Pike, Daniel Pike, Mark (Becca) Pike, Jasmine Pike, Sophia Pike, Todd (Kylie) Edgell, Martina (Trevor) Wood, Kristin Pike, Dr. Macy (Dr. Thien-Nam) Pike To, Haden Pike, Ethan (Rebecca) Pike, Noah Pike, Jocelyn Clements, Sydney Herdus, Kelsey Herdus, Dr. John B. Wilfong, III and Anna Lynn Wilfong. Treasured great-grandfather of Hudson, Archer, Lennox, Stella, Ezekiel “Zeke”, Tirzah, Lucy, London, Camden, Solo, Cedar, Sage, Valor, and Luke. Sadly he is preceded in death by his son, Randall Pike, his wives, Anita, Carolyn and Lynda, along with siblings, Marilyn Nichols, Norman Pike and Vonda Thompson. Mr. Pike was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on May 7, 1936 to Frank and Stella Pike. He was an ordained minister with the Church of God (Anderson, IN). He spent most of his life as a minister and traveling evangelist. His early ministry was spent as the regional director for Youth for Christ. In addition to his life as a minister, he was also a published author and recording artist. He travelled for many years as soloist, song leader, and evangelist with the Ford Philpot Evangelistic Association. He will be remembered for preaching and singing the word of God throughout the country. He was on the board of directors of Camp Sychar in Mt. Vernon, Ohio for many years. Winston loved classic cars and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He will be very much missed by all.
Funeral services will were held at 12:00pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Bethany Church, 1375 Hiller Road in Waterford, with Pastor Dennis Henderson officiating. The family received friends from 10:30am until the time of the service at noon. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 29, 2024 at Lancaster Cemetery in Lancaster, KY. There will be a memorial luncheon following the service at Independence Village of White Lake, 935 Union Lake Road, from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.
