Danville’s Small Town Christmas Parade winners announced

The 2024 Small Town Christmas Parade wowed spectators in Danville Thursday evening with a culturally colorful display of creativity and community spirit. The parade took place on Main Street, with more than 70 entries sparkling up the street and filling the night with merry-making on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The winners have been announced for this year’s parade, with some standouts from several categories:
1st Place Float: Pinkston Electric
2nd Place Float: Boyle County Performing Arts Academy
1st Place Judges’ Choice: Shepherd Construction
2nd Place Judges’ Choice — Danville-Boyle County Humane Society
The parade was the final event of a day full of family-friendly activities, including ornament-making, face painting, train rides, and holiday shopping at a vendor’s village. The event brought great crowds of people to the streets and was a celebration of the holiday season as neighbors and newcomers alike admired the effort and creativity behind each entry.
The joyful parade, complete with floats and activities, helps maintain Danville’s Small Town Christmas as a beloved tradition in the community, ushering in the holiday spirit.
