Carl Robert Gwinn, 74, of Junction City passed away at UKMC in Lexington on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Born November 17, 1950, he was the son of the late Judy Miller Guinn. Carl was a US ARMY Vietnam veteran. He retired from the USPS after 30 years of service where he had served as a mail carrier in Danville. He enjoyed farming, riding in the knobs, watching Boyle County football, and spending time with his friends at the VFW Post 3634. Carl is survived by his daughter, Carla (Bruce) Devine of Mercer County; his ex-wife, Brenda Gwinn of Junction City; brother, Billy Ray Guinn of Texas; sister, Sharon Green Carpenter of FL; 2 grandchildren, Kylie Devine and Gavin Devine; and cousins, Patsy (Wilmer) Cook of Danville, Carolyn (Kenny) Grubbs of Lincoln County, and Kathy (Allan) Hall of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Guinn, and brother, Ray “Whistle” Green. Visitation 5-8 pm, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am, Thursday, January 2 with Rev. Doug Lester officiating. Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers are Donnie Conatser, Jr., Donnie Conatser, Sr., Ricky Vinyard, Randy Harder, Eric Pollard, William Buck Rogers, and Darrick Gilbert.
