Grace Mbugua of Danville Christian is one of four Kentucky girls nominated for the 2025 McDonald’s All American Game.

The 6-4 senior was nominated for the April 1 game in New York along with Ciara Byars of George Rogers Clark, ZaKiyah Johnson of Sacred Heart and Leah Macy of Bethlehem.

A total of 805 boys and girls were nominated for the McDonald’s game, which has featured many of the top high school players in the nation since the boys game was established in 1978 and the girls game was added in 2002. Twenty-four girls and 24 boys will be chosen for the game, and the roster will be announced later this month.

Mbugua made her season debut last week, about seven months after having surgery to repair a torn knee ligament. She had 53 points and 28 rebounds in her first two games of the season.

She averaged 25.7 points and 15.4 rebounds last season, leading the state in rebounding for the third straight season and finishing in the top five in scoring.

She signed with Louisville in November.
