Jack David Sexton, 91, of Danville died January 21, 2025. He was born on September 11, 1933, in Monticello, Kentucky, to the late Nannie Russell Sexton and the late John and Lissie Sexton. He was predeceased by a son Jackie Sexton.
Jack dedicated his life to his family and his work, serving as a milk distributor for Southern Belle for over 35 years. He served his country in the United States Army, where he drove tanks. Known for his quick wit and playful teasing, he brought laughter and joy to those around him, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Jack treasured his 69-year marriage to his devoted wife, Jo Anne, with whom he shared a life full of love, laughter, and companionship. His kindness and jovial spirit with a cigar in his hand is how he’ll be remembered.
Jack is survived by his wife Jo Anne Sexton, his daughters Marcia (Tim) Sheegog, Connie (Keith) Smith, and Liz (Jim) Stevens, his son Scott (Pam) Sexton, his grandchildren Kelsey, Hunter, Justin, Jeremiah, Adam, Hagan, Jacob, Shelby, Cole, Candace, Sadie, Tabby, Tarra, Samantha, David Keith, Missy, Miranda, Jackie Wayne, and Hunter, and 38 great-grandchildren with four on the way.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City with Rev. Brent Rowe officiating. The visitation will be by 4 – 6 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. The grandsons will be pallbearers and burial will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Elk Springs Cemetery, Monticello, Kentucky with military honors by the United States Army.
