Annual and regular meetings of the Housing Authority of Danville held

The Housing Authority of Danville convened its annual and regular Board of Commissioners meetings on January 21, 2025, at its headquarters on Rosemont Avenue.
Highlights from the annual meeting
During the annual meeting, the Board of Commissioners reviewed the terms of office, voted on officers, and discussed the agency’s rebranding efforts. Amendments to the by-laws were also examined, along with plans for commissioner training sessions. The meeting concluded with the scheduling of the next annual meeting, set for January 20, 2026.
Agenda for the regular meeting
Following the annual meeting, the regular meeting addressed important business matters:
- Minutes: The board voted to approve the minutes from the December 17, 2024 meeting.
- Reports: Missy McCarty presented the finance report, while Executive Director Tim Kitts delivered his monthly report.
- Resolutions: The board adopted three resolutions:
- Resolution #2579: Approving collection losses for January 2025.
- Resolution #2580: Approving the redesign of the agency’s website.
- Resolution #2581: Authorizing the establishment of a police unit.
- New Business: The board approved the bills paid for December 2024, reviewed and updated the organizational chart and job descriptions, and discussed edits to the Executive Director evaluation form.
Additionally, the meeting included the distribution of evaluation forms for staff and planning for the resident newsletter for February 2025.
